To those who eat grits?

I made a pot roast today ... been in the crock pot for hours now and as I was adding other ingredients such as carrots and onions (added later so the carrots wont fall apart) I realized I don't have any potatos. Should I make grits to serve it on?? Anybody tried this? Should I just make ermilk biscuits instead, or even in addition to the grits? Do the grits just sound gross all around with pot roast?
