Question Purely for Western Christians... ( others don't attempt to answer please... )?

The answerer does have a valid point. Young people in our culture do start having adult relationships physically before they are ready mentally. With so many families having both mother and father working, it makes it difficult to keep watch on everything our teenagers do. I know as a teenager of 14, my mom allowed me to go out and go steady with guys. I enjoyed the freedom then and thought it was cool, but now I wish that she had been a little stricter. Because of what I did when I was young, I keep a closer watch on my kids. My 17 year old son has only gone out in groups, does not have a girlfriend and has not dated yet. I have seen many parents even push the issue with young kids of 10 or so. They begin asking about having a boyfriend in a teasing way. I think this sets a stage of it being acceptable. There are too many teen pregnancies and parents really have to limit the freedoms given to teenagers.
