I need help .... (about my period)... plzzzz help?!?

ok well i got my period this august and some blood came out (tered), then the next month it didnt come so i asked my mom nd she said it was normal but that month i got cramps, and everything else u get wen u get ur period but ... blood. then this happened every single month after that including this month!! i was at my couzin's house 2 days ago and i asked her if this was normal (she doesnt know thaaaat much bout periods but she knows something cause she got hers and she's 18 but came frm india so doesn't know much) she told me that ppl who are really skinny dont have enough bloood in them so the body doesn't release red it realeses white (- discharge). but is this tru and if it is ... is that ok??? plzzzzzzzzz help me
