Mothers: Do you think the Sims games are appropriate for your child?

I absolutly love the sims games and i have for a few years but my parents just dont think theyre appropriate for me. I'm 14 years old and they dont think that i should be playing them but i know of entire brownie troops that play the sims games whos parents have no problem with them. i think my parents are being a little to over protective with this becuase its not like i havent played them before, plus i know whats in them and i know how to avoid it but they just wont listen to me. So what, okay, there's pregnancy and in it but you dont see anything! at all! Theres more of that on abc than there is in the sims games, my friends have showed me. Im allowed to play M games such as Bioshock and Resident Evil with mive amounts of gore and voilence but i cant play a game that many children under my age play already. Do you let your child play the sims games? Is most of the "ual content" that they warn you about just kissing and romantics? Its nothing that would totally shock a teen or tween or even a young child, plus you have to really build up to the "whoo hoo" (, which is just bumps under the covers and hearts) portion of the game. Do you think my parents are right? Its not like im some young teenage girl thats obsessed over , if they dont want me to do it on the game than i wont. i dont see what thier problem is. Do you think im right? Are my parents right? Do you let your children play? Why or Why Not? even Onlinmom.com says that the sims is a great family game that can be played by 13 and up.
