If price is greater than marginal cost, a perfectly competitive firm should increase output because?

B a competitive firm produces until price = marginal cost (uming the price is clearing all inventory produced) Firms want profit, just because revenue increases doesn't mean the firm is earning more money, their costs could be increasing more than revenue. So D is wrong because it's insufficient as a reason to increase output.
