I don't have cable tv?

I have cable for my internet, so yes, it's worth it to me. You probably won't get your mom to 'want' cable, but if you work, you might suggest that you would help with the cable bill. You might suggest to her that there is the Discovery Channel and the History Channel which are very educational (and interesting to watch too!)
